For me, it would be KISS with the 1975 release Alive, My older brother David Tyler (AKA Scapegoat to you listeners) brought home this album in early '76. I had turned 5 years old the previous October. The stuff I was listening to before was basically Sesame Street or Disney records. My favorite things were the Power Records Audio Dramas that featured my favorite Comic Book Heroes. It was my turn to listen to the turntable and my brother who had just bought this album wanted to listen to it! So he told me that KISS were Super Heroes who played music! When he showed me the cover I was a bit apprehensive. But I was also fascinated at the same time. He put the record on the turntable, I heard the roar of the crowd and the intro to "The Hottest Band In The Land" (They hadn't conquered the world yet) The guitar intro to "Deuce" with Gene Simmons kicking in the bass and the following explosion, and it completely melted my mind! It was loud. it was Heavy (Especially for 1975) and it was thunderous! This album affected me at a very early age! It quite literally changed my life! It was and still remains my favorite KISS album of all time. If anyone were to ask me what is KISS, I would give them this record. It encapsulates everything that was great about this band. Upon hearing this album, I fell down the rabbit hole and have never looked back! This was the band and album that broke my Metal cherry! it fucking rules as far as I'm concerned! Long Live KISS - ALIVE! What are your thoughts my fellow Hard Rock/Heavy Metal enthusiasts? All opinions are welcome! Remember to Stay Metal My Friends!

Def Leppard, closely followed by Black Sabbath
Black sabbath first album and kiss dressed to kill were the ones that started me on my way
I was introduced to Black Sabbath by a neighbor/family friend shortly after after my introduction to KISS, Kevin wanted my brothers and I to realized there was more than KISS, he succeeded! LOL
